Midori - Guitar Hero 3 designs

In 2007 I had the privilege of designing the characters for the Guitar Hero 3 video game from Activision (Neversoft). I had originally named this character "Midori Sour" (after the cocktail), but we were unable to get legal to sign off on the name due to the brand of liquor that coined the name. So her name was shortened to simply Midori, which means "green" in Japanese. I was always slightly disappointed her name didn't have the same rhythm as the other characters in the franchise and seemed somewhat out of place, but that's probably just me.
